Family-owned for 4 generations
The brewery was founded on April 15, 1885 by Hans Poul Rasmussen. On January 1, 2001, John and Ellen Rasmussen took over the brewery as the 4th generation. In 1995, John brewed the nationally known Ale No. 16 and helped start the Danish beer revolution. With increasing sales, the brewery has expanded several times.
